We are in a era where the computers and its components development is to fast, this course will allow the students to understand the most significant alterations

Objectivs

The objective of the course is to allow the students to approach to the new technologies that involve the computer, like new central processors units with dual core, the union of two graphic cards working as one graphic card.

Hardware technicians, engineers and to all who want to be improve the knowledge with the new hardware technologies

Frequency to the course Hardware level III

Pedagogical Methodology

Mixing sessions with practices and theory, with description of the subjects and experimentation in a personal computer. Exercises with individually resolution.

Level IV

1st. Session - ATX Power Supply:

The resources of the Power Supply that allow the computer having a good performance; How to choose the best power considering the real components consumption in a computer

2nd Session - New Technologies:

The Central Processor Unit and its technologies; Balanced Technology Extended – The new generations of Power Supply, motherboard and Tower

3rd. Session - New Technologies (Cont.):

PCI Express connector and its technologies that allow the use of two graphic card as being just one (NVIDIA – SLI technology, ATI – Crossfire technology)

4th Session - New Technologies (Cont.):

SATA connector and its technologies (SATA Hard Disk Drive, RAID – How to improve the performance of the disks, Raid 0, 1 and Raid 0+1)

5th. Session - OverClock:

What cares should we have with the OverClock; The student will set up a CPU OverClock; Doubts and Evaluation.
