QuarkXpress is essentially an application created for layout, which means that, although it can work with text to some extent, it does not have some of the more powerful features present in a native text processing application. Also, QuarkXpress allows some degree of image manipulation, but again, as it is not meant for complex graphic creation, it has limited image editing functionalities. As a professional layout application, QuarkXpress has the full range of tools that lets you combine writing, editing, and typography with color and pictures to produce dynamic final output.
